System for the treatment of the waste matter originating in the porcine production, an experience in Yara (Original)

Abstract

At Yara municipality that belongs to Granma province, it advocates the rescue and development of the porcine breed, whit objective to increase the production of the protein and animal fat to satisfy the population's requests. The private sector including the Service and Credits Cooperatives (SCC), is identified with big potentialities for the development of this activity. The SCC “Benilde Orozco” located at Santa Rita, Veguita, Yara, shows an increasing development in the porcine production. In a diagnosis were detected some deficiencies that denote lack of knowledge in part of peasants and the population in general about the treatment of the residual provenances to the porcine breed. That´s why, it is proposed the creation of a system that with few resources and in a little area permit the efficient use of the residual of to the porcine breed, whit easy implementation for the peasants and the population, in the SCC “Benilde Orozco” and the backyard production. Within the main activities it is found a correct technology transfer that allow implement a system for the treatment of the liquids and solid residual that the porcine productions originate (experimental phase). During the research process different methods have been used such as: the historical- logical, analysis- synthesis, inductive- deductive and the systemic- structural and functional within the theoretical ones. Likewise empirical methods were also put into practice like the observation, the analysis of documents as well as the survey and interview as techniques.
