Abstract

Women since the beginning of the Revolution have been active subject and the main beneficiary of the revolutionary conquests. As part of the social justice fight, the battle for the men and women rights and opportunities equality full exercise in all the fields and levels of the national life began. Cuban women, who 56 years ago, were destined to home duties, today constitute the main columns in which the development of the national economy is laid on. In spite of the achievement obtained, essentially in the educational level (surpass the masculine), there is a gap between the two sexes related to the working life incorporation. In this investigation, the topic about gender fairness in Bayamo municipality State context and its implication for the local improvement is treated. A case study is done, in EMBER Basic Enterprise, located in the same municipality, to determine the characteristics of its labor context seen since the gender fairness point of view as the focal point related to the local human development.
