Abstract

This article seeks to present the class actions of the peasantry in Itapuranga, between 1970 and 1980. For this purpose, a bibliographical and documentary research was carried out. The results demonstrate that the action of external agents, especially priests and lay people of the Diocese of Goiás, guided by the principles of liberation theology, conformed a class in movement. The peasants articulated political-economic organizations of direct commercialization, of purchase of industrialized goods and of service of the right to health, among other elements. Therefore, at this moment a field of forces was formed in Itapuranga, articulated by the peasantry against the capitalist agents.
