Introduction: the biographical studies are based in the vital experiences that emerge of an individual, giving place to testimonies that emphasize their vital dimension, at the time that you/they frame the contextual environments in those that it is developed. Objective: to give to know the process that has followed a baloncestista holguinera, since he/she begins in the basketball until he/she consolidates successfully in four American games center, four Pan-American games, two world championships, two Olympic games and two League Professional in Russia and Italy, so that it serves of with respect to young baloncestistas that begin in this sport. Methodology: For the development of this study, the interview method has been used, as well as personal documents of the study baloncestista. The chosen person to carry out the investigation has been a specialist in basketball, 53 years old, that she works as basketball entrenadora. Results: as consequence of the development of this study, a story was obtained that narrates the trajectory that has followed a baloncestista from the base until the maximum level, where we find key characters in the life of the baloncestista, institutional support, important decisions and difficulties that have been overcome. Conclusions: Of the present work he/she comes off the importance that has the social environment, the institutional for elite sportsmen, as well as the necessity of the proliferation of this type of studies that you/they make meditate to the society.
