From the results of the study "Diagnosis of the current situation in Cuba for the estimation of oxygen consumption in adults with coronary risk, systematic practitioners of physical exercises", carried out at the University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences ¨Manuel Fajardo¨ and in six provinces of the country, which showed that the tests currently used in Cuba lack validity and reliability, which correspond to investigations carried out in contexts, time periods and samples with characteristics different from the population to which direct, founded the need to develop an updated and contextualized test to the characteristics of the Cuban population that, based on the analysis of its validity and reliability, improve the process of estimation of oxygen consumption in the population group referred to above. To this end, a test was developed to estimate oxygen consumption in adult subjects with coronary risk, systematic practitioners of physical exercises and determine the theoretical feasibility by expert criteria. The obtained results showed that the experts evaluated the proposal in the very adequate and quite adequate categories, accumulating more than 80% of the consensus of each evaluated aspect, after two rounds of consultation, reason why it was possible to conclude that the running test 12 minutes was designed according to the peculiarities of Cuban adults with coronary risk, systematic practitioners of physical exercises, providing a methodological structure and equations for the estimation of oxygen consumption, which meet the requirements of validity and reliability necessary for its application and generalization
