Abstract

The research explains the epistemological foundations of resilience, taking into account the 

 

need to favor it in Boxing athletes under risk factors of the EIDE “Pedro Batista Fonseca” of the 

 

Granma province. Different research methods and techniques were applied at theoretical and 

 

empirical level. A psychosocial intervention strategy is proposed to promote resilience. The 

 

study made it possible to systematize and contextualize the constructs of resilience provided by

numerous health and psychology researchers to the field of sport, which facilitated the definition 

 

of protective factors at a personal and social level to develop coping styles in difficult situations 

 

in the training, competition and other contexts with the aim of training socially competent, 

 

productive athletes, aware of their identity, who can make decisions and set goals for obtaining 

 

better results.
