Abstract

The development of community promotion plans is of vital importance for the economic and social development of the regions; Consequently, the objective of this study was to develop a tourism promotion plan for the Bajo Grande community, located in the El Anegado Parish, Jipijapa Canton, Man abí, Ecuador, with the purpose of increasing the flow of tourists, generating economic income and improve the quality of life of its inhabitants through the development and promotion of its natural, cultural and historical resources. A methodology with a diagnostic approach was used, the collection of information was developed through documentary research and direct observation techniques. Specific objectives were set to identify the tourism potential and demographic characteristics of the community, the SWOT analysis was carried out, the tourism promotion plan was developed and guidelines for its monitoring were proposed. The results revealed that the tourism promotion plan for Bajo Grande and its implementation essentially constitutes increasing the flow of tourists, generating income and improving the quality of life of its residents, promoting sustainable development and active participation of the community. The study showed weaknesses in the community that can affect the normal development of the plan, such as insufficiencies in accommodation, infrastructure and difficult access to tourist places, which is essential to take into account by local and regional authorities to execute the plan and contribute to development. community tourism.
