Abstract

The theme addresses the criminal liability of pedestrians in traffic accidents, examining their role within the legal framework and their involvement in cases of road collisions. The overall objective is to analyze how criminal responsibility is applied to pedestrians in situations of traffic accidents and to determine the legal and social implications. The conclusions indicate that, in many legal systems, pedestrians can be held criminally responsible if their negligent or reckless behavior significantly contributed to the accident. These conclusions vary according to the legislation and jurisprudence of each country. The importance of road education and public awareness to prevent accidents and promote traffic safety is highlighted. Furthermore, the need to consider the individual context of each case to fairly apply criminal responsibility is emphasized. In summary, the research on the criminal liability of pedestrians in traffic accidents analyzes how pedestrian behavior in road collisions is legally addressed. Its goal is to understand the legal approach, exploring laws and cases, and its conclusions underscore the variability in pedestrian criminal responsibility, emphasizing the importance of education and contextualization in law enforcement.
