Cultural heritage and local monuments in Cuba

Abstract

The Cultural Patrimony contains the valuables objects, buildings and immaterial values with patrimonial value.  These definitions join each other, compound a cultural construction and they are subjects to changes depending of the historical contexts in which one develop the society nowadays, in the transmission material and oral that pass generation by generation solidifying the values that constitute this concepts. Locals Monuments constitute unmovable values, a cuban denomination, establish in the 1970 decade, that made possible distinguish places and buildings with high historical values for the locations where they are settle. The knowledge of the inside and outside local monuments values for the political actors let them demand adequately the conservation, promotions and diffusion and use if places and buildings that are part of the historical memory of the people.
