The Bill Of Exchange, an alternative to confront accounts receivable.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to propose the use of the bill of exchange in the Base Business Unit (UEB) Comprehensive Services of the Fernando Echenique Agroindustrial Grain Company "as an alternative to pending accounts receivable with third parties. This entity is located in the Yara municipality, Granma province; it is dedicated to services for the cultivation and harvesting of rice. The work addresses theoretical foundations related to the bill of exchange as a security, the current regulation in Cuba and its advantages, as well as the need to apply it in the entity, object of study. The methods used were the following: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, theoretical-legal, exegetical-analytical; and as techniques: scientific observation, documentary and interview. The main results were framed in the theoretical analysis of the figures involved in the bill of exchange, advantages of its application to eliminate accounts receivable, identification of the main problems regarding accounts receivable in the aforementioned UEB. The conclusions refer to the fact that managers must make accurate decisions when using the security, so that the collection and payment system achieves efficiency in business relations, as well as better economic results.
