Abstract

The environmental crisis of the 21st century, exacerbated by the impacts of climate change, requires the training of professionals with a broad environmental culture for all sectors of social life, capable of understanding and reversing the environmental reality for the sake of an adequate quality of life, all of which must be a priority of the processes that take place in universities from training, research and extension, as part of the curricular strategy of environmental education, which must be specified from the introduction of the environmental dimension in the professional training models of all careers, a process that is recognized in the world as curricular greening and university management. The environmental training of education professionals offers special interest, since its incidence in the substantive processes that take place is vital, which has been investigated from the conception of the training of these professionals, through research-action-participation, obtaining as The result was the integration of the environmental dimension to the training process of the education professional, from the performance of their functions, in keeping with current requirements, the Life Task and the Food Sovereignty and Nutrition Education Plan, which constitutes a benchmark for the improvement of the environmental training of the educational professional in the Study Plan E.
