Environmental management in Granma province. Strategy for the sustainable development (Review)

The province presents many complexities from the environmental point of view motivated by its geographical and socioeconomic characteristics, which require a conscious environmental order to reach the sustainable development. The present work gathers the main aspects related to the process of elaboration and implementation of the environmental strategy in Granma province in the period of 2011-2015. The article presents the main environmental problems diagnosed that should be prioritized. Besides, it reveals the feasibility of the instruments to carry out the environmental management with the purpose of provoking changes taking into account the sustainable development. The objective of the present work consists on validating a strategy of environmental management as a useful tool that allows to value the effectiveness of an integral work in Granma province, during the period of 2011 and 2015. The above-mentioned bases the importance of the carried out research, which evidenced that with the application of the results there was a contribution to the process of environmental management in the studied object.
