The challenges of globalization for the nursing profession are directly related to the complexity of the day-to-day conflicts of its actions and care. This article aims to describe some of the challenges nursing faces in the globalization era from the point of view of human resources training in Angola. The theoretical, synthetic, inductive-deductive analytical methods were used to perform ananalysis that allows the systematization of knowledge in the elaboration of the main reflections. The reality of the academic formation of the nursing professional haschanged radically in the last decades, which leads to a necessary radical position in the defense of quality teaching, universal and the responsibility of governments. Nursing is in a very favorable position to take as a priority the health care of the population. Supported by competence and knowledge conferred to it. The challenges of nursing training are to build a professional, with technical and scientific skills to take part in health services. They are to form a critical, reflective nurse Who can combine theory with practice without compromising scientific principles, but Who is creative and learns to adapt to the singularities and complexity of situations.
