Abstract

The article responds to the need and limitations of the students from the English Major, related to listening comprehension, that limit the development of their communicative competence, as well as achieving the objectives of the Professional Model in this major. The main objective is to systematize some basic aspects and to provide practical recommendations for developing this ability with the use of the Language Digital Laboratory. The main contribution are the didactic recommendations and the indicators for the teacher to determine the students ‘level in this ability and to establish didactic strategies for its development. For gathering the data, some theoretical methods were used: analytic-synthetically and modeling, and empirical methods as observation, interview and experimentation, which permitted to demonstrate the relevancy and feasibility of the proposal.
