Impact of Digital Government in the reduction of the perception of modernization. (Review)

Abstract

Information and communication technologies are being used by national and sub-national governments (regional, provincial, district) to develop their own public management processes, creating timely and better communication; improving the quality of citizen services and interacting if it is the case continuously. Thus, its application in the services of a government, originate the concept of "digital government" that allows "governed" people to carry out procedures through the internet, and services carried out from their home or office, which facilitates the provision of a public service, in a timely and simple manner, breaking bureaucratic barriers over time. The objective was to determine the relationship between the level of development of the digital government and the perception of modernization by citizens. The methodologies that were used are the main part to base this investigation, based on the functional systemic-structural method, an analysis of the use of Digital Government is proposed; this allowed obtaining results of the perception of modernization by the application of Digital Government that variables are not deliberately manipulated to analyze the effect among the others.
