Design and validation of a website about natural and traditional medicine. (Original)

In the last decades, the interest for using the Natural and Traditional Medicine has increased as economic alternative and of easy use, the same one is conceived as part of the curriculum of the careers of Medical Sciences, for both, undergraduate and postgraduate students. Nevertheless, the didactic and teaching aids available to satisfy the students learning needs are not enough. It is still necessary to deepen and updating the scientific knowledge on this matter. That´s why, a research was carried out in order to design a website to make easier the development of the teaching learning process with different variants and techniques authorized in our country for students of the Medical Faculty of Bayamo. This study was developed in 4 stages, the first stage makes reference to the situational analysis that enabled knowing the need to design the website, the second includes the design of a website, and the third accomplished the process of validation, while in the fourth stage the level of satisfaction of the subjects under study was evaluated. The sample was composed by 331 students of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Health Technology. This research permits to put into practice a website in our institution to support the necessary transformations that have been taking place in our Public Health System and the development of the program of Natural and Traditional Medicine.
