The present material responds to a current problem of the Mathematics teaching-learning process, referred to the insufficient motivation for the subject, expressed in the lack of interest for the study and the non-use of Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) in the classes, caused by the poor domain on the part of the professors, in the utilization of the same ones. The objective is to describe a system of activities, with the use of the computer assistants as teaching means, through which students are able to understand and appropriate the new content. It respond to the III Improvement of Education, which has among its objectives the integration of ICT, which for teaching Mathematics has different assistants that allow incorporating new forms for the treatment of the content in a dynamic way, with the use of multiple representations of an object and less effort in routine calculations. An experience is presented with the use of the Geogebra computer assistant for the methodological treatment of potential functions in the first year of the Accounting and Finance career, in the Basic Mathematics discipline. In the application of the experiment, results were obtained in the analysis and understanding of its properties, in addition to its graphic representation.
