Abstract

The pedagogical work is closely related with the formation of cultural identity. The work has as object of  investigation: the process of formation of cultural identity. The objective of the research is to systematize the theoretical conceptions on the formation of cultural identity in Pedagogical Schools. In the theoretical foundation, the considerations addressed by the different authors are accentuated, which allowed, from the use of different research methods, to address the formation of cultural identity from a more current perspective. The scientific novelty of the research lies in: Grounding the process of formation of cultural identity as a systemic, comprehensive and coherent process, which is why cultural identity is assumed as the articulating axis of academic, research and educational work, which takes place in stages that function from the dynamics between the logic of science and the logic of the profession, in a way that favors the formation of cultural identity, at the height of the demands of today's Cuban society. For this purpose, we defend the conception of a pedagogical strategy, with a methodology that allows introducing the cultural elements that make up the cultural identity, from the articulation of the historical and socio-cultural references of the locality, in the training process for the performance of the student. It responds to the need to respond to one of the lines of research of the training assignment given to the Research Project Sociocultural Contextualization of  Educational Processes.
