Abstract

Being reasoning one of the main logical processes on the human being´s cognitive development, it is a need to emphasize the importance of such process in the formation of professionals in the Marxist Leninist and History Major. It is in this process where historical reasoning is conducted and expanded and it may adopt a variety of complex forms in its functioning and applicability. It is important to develop historical reasoning because it is the key to reach the scientific knowledge of society and it permits to establish communicational links with the essential parts of the different disciplines of the social sciences area that has as main objective to reflect on the need to improve the preparation  of the teachers dealing with the subjects of the social sciences area and the use of a methodological conception that allows the understanding of the development of phenomena, facts and processes in its relation past-present-future, and it is precisely the teaching learning process of social sciences that allows the acquisition of concepts, laws and regularities while dealing with the different content systems. The knowledge of this structure is basic in the development of historical thinking.
