Abstract

The professional training process is very complex; it requires the unity of educational influences and a system of activities that propitiate integrally from the first moments of the university life. In the Pedagogy-Psychology major one works in this sense from the conception of the educational strategy for the career and for each academic year. In this case, activities carried out in the first year are shown, whose purpose is the integral attention to the initial formation from their entrance to the University. It also takes into account the pedagogical experience achieved from the history of the major in Holguín and Cuba, the level of preparation of the staff and the pedagogical experience of the professors in the training of Psychopedagogues to help solving educational problems in the territory. Consequently, educational actions have been taken in each group of the year, in accordance with the objectives proposed in the professional model, so as to stimulate the upward growth of the integral professional training of the students of the Pedagogy- Psychology major.
