The State Sanitary Inspection in the identification of risks and actions for their mitigation (Original)

Modern society is a complex scenario where dissimilar technological, productive, manufacturing and service delivery processes come together, which implies a systematic control over the risks associated with the community. The State Sanitary Inspection is the instrument that allows the approach of the phenomenon from a salubrious perspective, and from it a set of activities of prevention, treatment and sanitary control is derived, which the Hygiene and Epidemiology area carries out as an exclusive function. The territory of Yara has an epidemiological history of high biological, chemical and psychosocial risk, due to outbreaks of food infections in popular festivals, organophosphate poisoning in tobacco processing, among other factors. In this context, the objective of the study was to describe the main epidemiological risks identified in the State Sanitary Inspection and to evaluate compliance with hygienic and sanitary actions for their prevention. For which an observational study is carried out with a universe of 591 units and 9 health inspectors from the two health areas that the Yara municipality has. Given the economic circumstances that the world and the country in particular are going through, after having faced the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the psychosocial consequences, the identification and mitigation of epidemiological risks is extremely important. In this way it is possible to act on the causes of diseases that produce morbidity in human groups, and expenses are reduced to face their epidemic characteristics, both in the clinical, epidemiological and psychological approach that their containment entails.
