The inclusion of physical, cognitive, social and recreational activities in outdoor play spaces, such as playgrounds, is essential for the comprehensive development of children, especially those with disabilities. This article explores the importance of these activities, highlighting their benefits in building your skills. The objective of the study is to analyze the characteristics of playgrounds in the city of Bayamo, taking into account the areas, equipment and physical and recreational activities, including children with disabilities. It also addresses the contribution to local development that could generate a transformation in these public spaces, with the use of ecological and sustainable materials. To carry out the research, a mixed study design was used, from a quantitative and qualitative analysis, through methods and techniques such as scientific observation, documentary review, survey, interviews and discussion group. Which allowed us to learn about the characteristics of the inclusive teams that exist in other regions, as well as evaluate the community's perception of the need for inclusive equipment and areas for children with disabilities. The results revealed the importance of physical, cognitive, social and recreational activities in Bayamo's playgrounds and the urgent need to make improvements around inclusion, accessibility and sustainability. Based on a detailed analysis and from an approach oriented to local development, specific recommendations are proposed to achieve this.
