One of the goals of current Cuban Education is to form a Martian personality, who presents values consistent with the time he is living and who gives forceful answers that contribute to forming a good man. The study of Martí's work contributes to forming this new man, since José Martí is considered a compendium of Cuban pedagogy and a paradigm of his time. The article proposes a Methodological Strategy that has as its aspect the axiological potential offered by selected works from the Martí Notebooks to promote education in values and specifically the patriotism of the students of the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education. Methods are used at the theoretical level: analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and at the empirical level, documentary review, class observation, surveys, interviews, experimentation, as well as statistical methods with the use of descriptive statistical techniques, such as tables, graphs and the percentage calculation for the processing of the data obtained from the application of the instruments, allowing conclusions to be reached about the effectiveness of their implementation in the educational reality.
