We analyze the meanings of participation constructed by the actors in the different areas from the Educational Centers for Total Production. In these Centers, student participation was configured as a transversal part of the training process. Methodologically, from the ethnographic approach, we analyzed interviews and transcripts of Student Council meetings, classes, meetings, institutional regulations and photographs taken by the students. We conclude that in this pedagogical experience there coexist diverse senses of participation linked to the organizational context and to the practices developed by students, teachers and directors. We also highlight the students' sense of participation linked to doing with others, mainly with their families within the framework of productive activities.
