Abstract

Recess time is part of the school day; It is not used with a formative character nor it is achieved an adequate use of the free time. This is especially observed in single general High School students. It is used more for tradition than for educational purposes. Unawareness of their potential reduces their ability to influence and be an agent of transformation. This research emphasizes the role of the teaching staff in relation to school recess time. It provides some tools to be used with the students in the teaching-learning process, so as to develop attitudes, abilities, habits and ways of relating to the environment. The games used are adapted to the reality to which, in an intuitive way, the student body accesses, who, seeing their interest taken care of, use the time in a recreational and educational way.
