The approach to cultural diversity in the teaching of the Sociology of Law at Metropolitan University (UMET), Ecuador (Review)

Abstract

It´s an indisputable fact that cultural diversity is a characteristic sign of the societies, which currently tends to accentuate. However, from the perspective of equality and inclusion, this reality is not always assumed by the main actors: the citizens. Through the teaching of Sociology of Law, is possible to contribute with transformation in knowledge, interpretation and behavior to assume and respect cultural diversity in the environment of multiple and complex individual-society relationships. It´s the experience developed from the syllabus of this discipline at Metropolitan University (UMET), Ecuador, which take as a reference different pedagogical models about cultural diversity.
