Model of professional performance for early childhood educators in rural contexts (Original)

This article focuses on the shortcomings in the professional performance of early childhood educators in rural areas. A diagnostic study was conducted using theoretical, empirical, and statistical-mathematical methods, revealing the main needs, weaknesses, and deficiencies in the educators' performance. The objective was to demonstrate the relevance of the pedagogical model for the professional performance of early childhood educators in the rural context of Segundo Frente municipality, Santiago de Cuba. Its practical application revealed the improvement in the educators' active professional performance in this rural context, evidenced by the intersectoral integration of their functions and skills, thus fostering a qualitative increase of early childhood education.
