Abstract

Abstract
The present work has as objectives: To evaluate the level of application of the informed consent in the medical care practice, as well as to propose a model of informed consent that allows a joint medical-patient participation respecting the rights of the individual and the autonomy of each person. For this, an observational, descriptive, quantitative and qualitative cross-sectional study was carried out at the Surgical Clinical Hospital Celia Sánchez Manduley from January 2018 to July 2019 with the participation of 985 health professionals. The data were obtained after the application of surveys. The variables used were profession, years of graduated from the university, level of knowledge, application of consent and form of application of the informed consent according to protocol. For the analysis of the data, statistical measures were applied as absolute numbers and percentages.
