Evaluation of the cost-reducing efficiency – financier at Gastronomía Bayamo's Municipal Company (Original)

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the economic - financial efficiency of the Bayamo Municipal Gastronomy Company, in order to achieve effectiveness in order to guarantee quality in the business management process. For the development of the same it was necessary to carry out a comprehensive documentary review, in which books, magazines and articles were consulted, as well as doctoral thesis and master's thesis of outstanding national and foreign authors, which supported by Materialism - Dialectic and its particular methods : the analysis - synthesis, induction - deduction, research - exposure and the unity of the logical and the historical, which allowed to elaborate the theoretical framework of the research and to base the proposal of economic - financial indicators that enrich the evaluation process, which is a tool for business management that contributes to the improvement of decision making. The analysis of the economic and financial position from the proposal of indicators showed that the capacity of the company's assets to generate value is insufficient, it is not generating a sufficient volume of sales in proportion to the magnitude of its investment. In addition, it does not have sufficient resources to meet its payments in the short term, and it presents an excessive level of debts, which means that it is losing financial autonomy from third parties. A system of actions is provided to make the company advance in its efficiency indicators and provide a quality service.
