System of educational activities to promote exclusive breastfeeding in pregnant women (Original)

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is vital for the healthy growth of the baby because it reduces the risk of diseases, immunizes the body and accelerates the recovery of the mother. Taking into account the importance of breastfeeding aims to develop a system of educational activities to raise knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding in the period January - August 2023, in the Family Doctor’s Office no. 7 of the community of Batey del Medio, in the Popular Council Mabay. A study was conducted with predominance of qualitative, experimental, descriptive cross-sectional methodology. The main research methods and techniques used are historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, modeling, document analysis, observation and interview. The main results were the identification of risk factors and the proposal of a system of educational activities that favors exclusive quality breastfeeding in the context under investigation.
