Chess and animals: the fairy chess pieces (Review)

In this work shows a study about animals as chess pieces. For this purpose, many literatures have been consulted and analyzed, and main elements about reference from the beginning to them was resume, such as how many arthropod and chordate are mentioned in different variant of the game. Also, shows a few art works which expose animals and chess.
