Abstract

Nowadays, the teaching of Physical Education must be of quality, so it is required that teacher simplement active methodologies that focus on the student and enhance their learning, allowing them to be effectively inserted in society and be able to respond to the different circumstances that arise. The objective of the study is to identify the active methodologies used in Physical Education classes and the benefits for student learning. A search for studies was carried out in different databases Redalyc, Scielo, Doaj, Google Scholar and Sciencia Direct, using the keywords "Active methodologies" "Physical Education" and "Learning". Bibliographic sources published between 1984 and 2021 were reviewed. In the first stage, 120 documents were identified, of which 73 were selected that mett he inclusion requirements. It is concluded that the implementation of the MA in the teaching of PE is motivating, forms students who are critical of the process, responsible, autonomous and with more solid bases to face challenges and prepares them in problems olving, encourages more regular motor practice to become active people with healthy habits that will serve them throughout their lives. Therefore, it is necessary that teachers are trained and have the theoretical, methodological and practical foundations for the implementation of the MA.
