The physician is a graduate with a wide profile, who must contribute to the improvement of the health status of the population. One of his or her functions is to provide comprehensive medical care. Pediatric contents become important in the doctor's training in order to fulfill this function, however, the current conception of their treatment brings about insufficiencies that limit the professional performance of future doctors. Pediatrics distinguishes pediatric semiology as an essential content that has been in decline with the introduction of increasingly modern technologies, which is a concern in the area of medical education, so the objective of the article is to establish pediatric semiology as a structural content in the teaching-learning process of Pediatrics. The didactic conception is argued from the role played by the pediatric semiology content, which is erected as structural content in relation to the pediatric content whose selection, sequencing allows achieving higher assimilation levels in the teaching-learning process of Pediatrics in the Medicine career and turns them into protagonists of a developmental learning that intervenes in the education of their personality and in their professional future, by becoming an authentic way to enhance the pediatric training and favor their professional ethics.
