The inclusive mathematics class for visually impaired sixth graders

The research arises from the inadequacies detected, modeling the mathematics class for sixth grade students with visual impairment as an inclusive practice in Special Education. Mathematics is one of the subjects that generates more doubts to the teachers when they have a blind student in class, since the learning of the contents has in many occasions a great visual component and the use of abstract concepts raise doubts when explaining and reinforcing the activities; so, it is a challenge for the teachers the attention to the diversity. From the application of theoretical and empirical methods, which guaranteed obtaining the information and processing for analysis, allowed the development of the proposal of an inclusive Mathematics class for sixth grade students with visual impairment in Special Education, which allows the teacher to perform differentiated work achieving true equality for the attention to diversity within the Educational Institutions.
