Environmental education: a look from the subject “The world we live in” (Original)

Abstract

In light of the third improvement of education in Cuba, environmental education continues to be a priority for the Ministry of Education. The present investigation was developed in the José Antonio Saco elementary school in the Manzanillo municipality. Its objective is to delve into the theoretical aspects related to environmental education in the subject “The world we live in”. Through the application of different evaluation instruments, it was possible to verify the insufficiencies of environmental education in students. The development is scientifically based on the application of different research methods such as analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction. The article proposes actions that can be carried out by students in the different activities that take place in educational institutions.
