The teaching of spelling, a challenge at the Primary educational level (Original)

Abstract

Spelling today is still one of the biggest problems we find in language teaching, this component is affected by different causes, which make the quality of the text impossible and can change the meaning completely about what you wanted. Express the author; thereby preventing effective communication. At present, students of this educational level present insufficiencies in the inappropriate use of spellings, mechanical memorization of spelling rules and demotivation due to spelling knowledge. The article aims to reflect on the main theoretical references on this important component of the language. Methods such as analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive were used for its elaboration. The main interest is that the material is consulted by teachers and especially for students who are trained as professionals at the Primary educational level.
