Communication in the protection of the environment for the social well-being of children

Abstract

Communication is essential to raise awareness about environmental problems that affect children. This work is the result of an investigation into an integrative task oriented by several subjects based on a problem detected in a community intervention that showed the insufficient use of communication in the protection of the environment for the social well-being of children and has as its objective reflect on the communication actions that the Speech Therapist can use to protect the environment for the social well-being of children. For its development, methods such as bibliographic review and analysis-synthesis were used. The results obtained allowed us to assess the importance of caring for the environment, water conservation and biodiversity. It has also made it possible to develop community interventions from the University Social Work Brigades in the University-Society link, in the Agüero-Mar Verde Popular Council, in Santiago de Cuba. This work is part of the institutional project “Socio-educational prevention of children, adolescents and young people in situations of disability and vulnerability from the community network”, of the Universidad de Oriente. It addresses a current topic that encourages responsibility with life, an investment in the future of our children.c
