An educational intervention study was carried out through the application of a training strategy on environmental protection, designed for older adults in the period of September 2018 - September 2019. We worked with 45 elderly selected by the following criteria: Gerontes that exceed 60-80 years of age who agree to participate in the study, belonging to the Family Medical Office (CMF) 10. Two instruments were applied to determine the level of knowledge of grandparents about adverse environmental factors, possible causes thereof, diseases communicable and about possible solutions to these problems. Subsequently, the training strategy was given which allowed the following conclusions to be reached: older adults between 60-64 years old, male, with basic secondary schooling, predominated in the elderly inadequate knowledge before the intervention on adverse environmental factors, possible causes thereof, and communicable diseases and about possible solutions to these problems. The training strategy was approved by expert criteria. The application of the same demonstrated by the results of the investigation was evaluated as acceptable.
