Abstract

This study addresses the deficiencies in the technical and tactical preparation of handball goalkeepers in the 13-15 age group in Pinar del Río. This study uses a mixed quantitative-qualitative design. The current performance of two goalkeepers was evaluated, and two coaches and five specialists were consulted. The results revealed critical limitations in anticipation (65% of positional errors), reaction time (≥0.8 seconds in 7m throws), and communication (40% of defensive coordination errors). Therefore, a methodology based on differentiated training with modeling exercises in competitive situations is proposed, as well as an evaluation using specific indicators (percentage of saves in blind spots). The feasibility of the methodology was validated by experts (91% agreement, Delphi method). The study contributed to optimizing training processes in this sport.
