Competences of teachers in the context of contemporary university education (Review)

Abstract

In the current time, the society globalized advances in a vertiginous way and it is governed by a high competitiveness and a complex technology, aspects in constant transformation. In this context, it is not strange that the success is conditioned by the quality of the product or service, for the talent of people, for the interrelation ability with the environment, and for the innovation capacity and the individuals' creativity, all that which is translated in the term professional competitions. The present article has the objective of offering reflections about the necessity and importance of the competitions in the faculty of the contemporary university education. For we follow it a methodological strategy starting from the bibliographical revision and the employment of methods and technical empiric and theoretical, including the application of interviews and questionnaires to university professionals. The main result consists on the analysis of theories, conceptions and definitions, as well as the identification of the essential competitions that the professional of the docencia should behave in the University.
