Physical-therapeutic exercises for the correction of scoliosis in 5th grade students

This research was conducted at the Antonio Briones Montoto Elementary School in the Aeropuerto Viejo Popular Council of the Bayamo municipality, Granma province. The research aimed to determine the various postural deformities present in students. A sample of six students aged 10-11 years who present with functional scoliosis was taken, this being the most prevalent postural deformity in these ages. Theoretical methods such as analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, and historical-logical were used for the research. Observation and measurement were used as empirical methods. These methods allowed us to understand the characteristics and specificities of the students and the postural correction process within physical education classes. A set of physical-therapeutic exercises for correcting scoliosis in these students was also proposed.
