Abstract

This article approaches the need to improve the oral expression in English in tenth graders from Emilio Lastres Mixed Center in Manzanillo. The authors  propose a set of exercises to foster the students' oral performance, focussing on the oral aspects of verbal communication. To carry out the research process theoretical methods such as the inductive- deductive and the analytic-synthetic; empirical methods such as observation, survey, interview, and the pedagogical test; and the statistical methods to get and process the information gathered by the empirical methods, were used. The results show a significant improvement of the oral expression making the proposal a valuable tool for their formation.
