Proper family counseling is one of the main aspirations in our society and along with it the strengthening of the relationships that must be established between family and school, since the school is the basic state institution that, due to the level of organization and scientificity, must respond to the concerns and difficulties that parents present in the education of their children. This process of bringing the school closer to the family must be led by professionals prepared to offer adequate guidance in accordance with the educational needs of the students. Hence, the objective of this work is aimed at offering up-to-date theoretical references in science on adequate guidance to the families of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
