Determination of losses during the mechanized harvesting of rice with a CLAAS CROP TIGER 30 TERRA TRAC combines in the 2021-2022 season

Abstract

The work was carried out in the 2021-2022 campaign, in fields belonging to the “Antonio Maceo” Rice Farm No. 10, “Fernando Echenique” Agroindustrial Grain Company of the Granma Province. Grain losses during harvest were evaluated with the CLAAS CROP TIGER 30 TERRA TRAC. The of Vertical predominant soils, flat topography, good leveling and drainage, with irrigation system with contour lines. Variety of rice: Selection-1. Ambient temperature between 29 to 32oC, relative humidity between 80.9 and 85.5%. The weather conditions, characteristics of the crop and operational parameters of the combine were taken into account. Estimated batch production: 141.87 t, and real 115.5 t (81.4%). The following losses were reported: pre-harvest 60 kg•ha-1average, which represents 1.23 t for the plot area of 19.87 ha; in the receiving section average values of 0.000 027 t•ha-1, for 4.5 %; threshing system mean value of 0.000017 t•ha-1, for 2.84 %; separation and cleaning systems mean values of 0.000065 t•ha-1, for 1.10 %. All values behaved below 5% established by technical standards. The total average values of losses during the harvest with the machine were 0.000115 t, which represent 1.92%, with the losses in the receiving section being the highest with 4.5% of the total harvested.
