Poultry multiculture. Impacts on food sovereignty and security in Granma

Abstract

The objective of our work is to elaborate an electronic book as a means of complementary teaching for the development of the subject: Poultry Health and Production, contributing to the improvement of the teaching-learning process in students of the fifth year of the Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics career. and contribute to food and nutrition security and sovereignty in Granma. The Computer Laboratory of the University of Granma was used, a set of media, software and equipment were used: PC (Intel(®) Pentium4(R), CPU 3.00HGz with 512MB RAM and 160 GB hard disk). The professional programs used for the preparation and creation of the multimedia were: “Adobe Photoshop 7.0”, “Macromedia Dreamweaver 4”, “Font Twister”, “Macromedia Flash 5”, “Image Styler 1.0”, “Fast Stone Screen Capture 2.0”, "Mediator 8 Professional" platform in which it was developed with a (GNU) license. The economic, social and environmental impacts of the use of the material in productive entities in the territory are evidenced. It is concluded that the electronic book: MultiCultura avícola, constitutes a complementary material for the development of knowledge and skills in the subject of Poultry Production Health in students of the fifth year of the Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics Career and contributes to food security and sovereignty in Granma province.
