Set of activities to develop the oral language in diagnosed schools with slight mental retardation

Abstract

The language plays an important role in human culture and for this it is essential to achieve its proper development in children diagnosed with mild mental retardation, which is the problem to solve in this investigation, to solve this deficiency is proposed a set of speech therapy activities to favor the development of oral language in schoolchildren diagnosed with mild mental retardation of the 1st grade of the special school "Francisco Vicente Aguilera" of the municipality of Manzanillo. The present work is based on the principles of the socio - historical cultural school of Vygotsky, in which different scientific methods were used, among the theoreticians the analysis - synthesis, inductive - deductive and the modeling, within the empirical observation, the interview, logopedic exploration technique, and percentage calculation as a mathematical procedure. The research provides a set of logopedic activities, which allowed raising the level of knowledge of school children and helps to solve the needs related to the development of oral language.
