The proposed geography for the fifth grade, in the third perfection, contributes to environmental education

Abstract

The work that is proposed constitutes a possible solution, aimed at treating the problem that exists today in students in training of the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and in practicing teachers in schools, consisting in that there is poor mastery of the main documents that regulate the indications of the Ministry of Education (MINED), about the Third Improvement. The objective it serves is to propose activities that ensure to raise knowledge about the role attributed to the new Geography program and its contribution to environmental education, in the fifth grade. This study is the result of the exchanges made by the author in the pedagogical practice carried out in the Primary School: “Mártires de Granada”, from the rural town: La Mexicana, from Guisa's municipality. In its development, methods were put into practice, which start from the scientific conception of the world, implicit in the Marxist Leninist Philosophy, which is expressed in those of the theoretical order, such as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction and the historical descriptive; Within the empirical ones, the observation, the interview, the survey, the documentary review and also the descriptive mathematical statistics prevailed. The fundamental contribution lies in the suggestions of highly topical activities, expressed in the validity of the pedagogical work and of great novelty, because they suggest including the State Plan on climate change known as the Life Task and its expression in sustainable development.
