Preparation and defense; new challenges for students of medical sciences careers in Granma province

Abstract

It is necessary for health students to be prepared for disaster reduction and to be able to carry out health actions in shelters or evacuee settlements, which requires that first of all it is known that the people affected by any natural, technological event or due to other special situations in a region or country, they are frequently forced to abandon their homes and take refuge in different facilities on a temporary basis that may be near or far from the place of residence and for a short or long time in search of shelters and security. That is why this work aims to: strengthen National Security and Primary Assistance in the students of Medical Sciences for the assurance of health professionals ready in the defense of the Homeland. To carry it out, theoretical methods such as: historical-logical, analysis and synthesis, and documentary and empirical review such as observation, surveys, among others, were considered.
