Activities to contribute to the strengthening of Environmental education from the shifts of reflection and debate

Environmental Education is a dimension within the teaching-learning process of schools in Cuba. It is a necessity and that is why it constitutes a prioritized task of the Ministry of Education. This research was carried out at the Segundo Díaz Prado Pre-University Institute of the Municipality of San Nicolás de Bari. It was an objective a proposal of activities to contribute to the strengthening of environmental education in eleventh grade students from non-consequential actions of the same in daily situations, by not contributing to the care of green areas, cleaning the premises of the center, mistreatment of the material base of study, ignorance of environmental problems. For the fulfillment of this purpose, theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis, induction-deduction and documentary analysis were used. Empirical methods such as observation and survey and mathematical-statistical methods such as percentage analysis. In this way, the tasks related to the theoretical support, the assessment of the instruments applied in the diagnosis and the development of the activities, which have the potential to strengthen environmental education and provoke positive changes in the behavior of students towards the environment that were resolved.
