Nutritional recommendation for a balanced diet
Keywords:
healthy weight; proper diet; nutritional recommendationAbstract
Nutritional recommendation is the amount of energy and nutrients that a diet consumed must contain to meet the requirements of almost all individuals in a population of three patients belonging to Primary Health Care groups; among them a pregnant woman, a nursing mother and an older adult, in order to prevent deficiency diseases and excessive ingestion and guarantee certain reserves for emergency situations. The nutritional evaluation of the selected patients was performed, for which parameters such as: healthy weight, body mass index, waist and hip circumference, waist-hip index, basal metabolic rate and energy requirements were taken into account. The planning and evaluation of the menu was carried out for each of them, reaching values between 98 and 100% of adequacy in the evaluated diets, from which nutritional recommendations were proposed, using the basic bibliography for our training as General Practitioners and other sources.
